On July 9-10th, Sierra Business Council’s climate & energy team attended the 16th Annual California Climate & Energy Forum (CCEC), which brought together local governments, state agencies, and community organizations to advance climate and energy solutions.
Powering Local Climate Action: Collaboration, Workforce, and Decarbonization at CCEC 2025
The California Climate and Energy Collaborative (CCEC) hosted its annual forum in San Jose, CA, on July 9–10, 2025. As part of this year’s event, Sierra Business Council (SBC), in partnership with the Climate Transformation Alliance and the Town of Truckee, presented a panel titled “Powering Local Climate Action: Strategies for Collaboration, Workforce, and Decarbonization.”

New Energy Saving Water Heater Replacements for local High School District
Through SBC’s Sierra Nevada Energy Watch (SNEW) program, the Nevada Joint Union High School District replaced old water heaters with high-efficiency heat pumps and tankless water heaters. Learn more about their energy and cost savings
