The City of Grass Valley recently completed heat pump water heater retrofits at six of their facilities, replacing natural gas powered water heaters with new, highly efficient electric models. Learn more about the benefits of this project!

At the end of June 2024, the SBC Climate & Energy team attended the 15th Annual California Climate and Energy Collaborative (CCEC) Forum.
SNEW Now Provides Greenhouse Gas Inventory Support for Public Agencies!
SNEW is excited to announce that we are now able to offer free comprehensive greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory reports to public agencies! SNEW will be utilizing ICLEI’s ClearPath software, which is the leading online platform for completing GHG emissions inventories.
Rural Capacity for Climate Readiness – CARB-funded Workshop Results
SBC worked with the UC Davis Center for Regional Change and the California Air Resources Board to host workshops throughout the Sierra Nevada and Cascade region. The workshops were used to gather feedback from the community regarding climate change readiness.
