Brooke is the Project Coordinator for the Wildfire Solutions Coalition, where she helps launch and grow a statewide collaborative focused on building wildfire resilience in California’s most vulnerable communities. She supports partners across sectors to advance strategic policy, community engagement, and place-based solutions in alignment with SBC’s mission of fostering vibrant, resilient Sierra communities.

Originally from the foothills of El Dorado County, Brooke is excited to return home to Northern California after several years of climate and environmental justice work across North America. She holds a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University, where she concentrated in Community Engagement and Environmental Justice and earned a certificate in International Development Policy. Her past work includes participatory resilience planning in rural Oregon, climate resilience research with Indigenous forest managers in southern Mexico, and coalition building on the environmental and equity impacts of industrial animal agriculture in the Southeast. She completed a B.S. in Environmental Studies and a B.S. in Sociology at Santa Clara University and a service year with AmeriCorps/Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest in Anchorage, Alaska.

Brooke is passionate about work that sits at the intersection of community, climate, and equity. When not at her desk, you can find her hiking around the state, cozying up with the latest literary fiction release, or seeking out the best iced vanilla latte in town.
