Callie is a Climate and Energy Technician supporting the Northern Rural Energy Network and Sierra Nevada Energy Watch programs. Originally from Sacramento, CA, Callie moved to Portland, OR to attend the University of Portland, where she earned her B.S. in Environmental Science with a concentration in Biology. After graduation, she returned to Sacramento to serve as a CivicSpark Fellow with the California Department of Water Resources (DWR). During her fellowship, she focused on enhancing groundwater education for K-12 schools across the state and worked to reduce barriers to accessing DWR funding. Passionate about community engagement and environmental sustainability, Callie is excited to connect with communities through the Sierra Nevada region and help implement SBC programs. When she’s not working, you can find her camping, reading, playing board games, or simply enjoying the outdoors as much as possible.
