As an AmeriCorps member and CivicSpark Fellow with SBC, Dana primarily supports the Northern Rural Energy Network, the Sierra Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Partnership (Sierra CAMP) programs, and other Climate & Energy initiatives. Through this fellowship, she aims to strengthen community engagement efforts, deepen her understanding of climate adaptation strategies, and advance SBC’s mission to serve and support Sierra Nevada communities.

Dana holds a Master of Public Health from San Diego State University and a bachelor’s degree in Organismal Biology and Ecology from Colorado College. Her graduate research focused on community engagement and outreach to inform local environmental health programs in vector control. Passionate about the intersection of human and environmental health, Dana is dedicated to promoting sustainable, resilient communities.

Originally from the East San Francisco Bay Area, Dana grew up visiting the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe region and is excited to explore the area more fully, spending time outdoors and improving her skiing skills along the way! When not outside, she enjoys scrapbooking, crafting, reading, and spending time with animals.
