Kara has been a Sierra resident for nearly 20 years. She has a background in nonprofit development and international partnerships. Before joining SBC, Kara was a political campaign staffer and strategist, advocating for rural counties statewide and regionally throughout the Sierras.
She and her family live in Tuolumne County where they enjoy exploring the Stanislaus National Forest, both on the trails and in the air, flying in a Cessna 172.
